Spallanzani and Beyond
Spallanzani was a genius man who contributed to the scientific community in more ways than one; he was a true renaissance man. The Italian was a biologist who made groundbreaking discoveries in the field of animal reproduction. In his many experiments he was often sloppy but thorough, his main goal was to understand life around him. Throughout all of his scientific endeavors he remained a faithful man, even becoming ordained as a Catholic priest. Spallanzani’s main goal was to publish the truth about science and he will forever be remembered as one of the greats.
